Today Dr Alvarez filled a cavity that, most likely, would have escaped the notice of anyone else. Because he is so thorough and conscientious, he found it, probably saving my tooth. This cavity was between the margin of a crown and the gum line, all the way in the back of my mouth.
Let's put it this way: I am very glad Dr. Alvarez is young and therefore not likely to retire soon. A great dentist by any measure.

About Hygienist: No hygienist -- Dr. Alvarez does his own cleaning. He cleans my teeth three times a year, each time gently and thoroughly.

I started to see Dr. Alvarez in 2009, after reading many favorable reviews online. He's been great. He cares about his patients, is very concerned about sensitive to pain, and has a very pleasant chair-side manner. His office staff are great as well. Dr Alvarez has the newest technology in his small office. He doesn't do the insurance paperwork, but my insurance has never had any issues with reimbursing my expenses.

I selected Dr. Alvarez based on the reviews from this site and so far he has turned out to be the best dentist that I've ever had. He has performed extensive procedures including everything involved with crowns. I've been very impressed with the results. He's patient and he explains everything. His staff is also very friendly and thorough. I recommend him to all of my friends.

Congratulations on finding a great dentist! I’ve just added Dr. Alvarez to my own “team.” I’ve had lots of experience with dentists. I’ve done it all: from simple fillings to root canals. I can go to anyone I choose. And I have chosen Dr. Alvarez to update and complete my medical team. My “team” consists of only New York’s top medical professionals. And like the rest of my team, Dr. Alvarez is surprisingly humble for someone so talented. There is a feeling of being in the right hands that you only get from someone who has the education, confidence, and experience of this caliber of professional. His office is professional without being showy. The treatment and care I receive from Dr. Alvarez and his entire team is the best I’ve ever had. This is what going to the Dentist should be like in 2014. You will receive top care without drama. In fact, I travel from over 1 ½ hours away to see him. I live in Great Neck, NY, home of some of the best dental professionals available. None of them I’ve experienced can even hold a candle to Dr. Alvarez. He and his staff makes you feel comfortable from the first meeting, and through all phases of your treatment. He takes the time to get to know you and explains his treatment step by step leaving out the gory parts. Teeth are important to your general health and well being. I had a beautiful crown completed in one sitting without any pain or drama. I continued on to have 3 more crowns by Dr. Alvarez and each time I enjoyed the same great care. My teeth have never looked or felt better.

Best dentist I've been to. Ever. I'm keeping him. After experiencing "the rest" I finally found "the Best!"

Dr. Eddie Alvarez is #1 in my eyes & he actually saved my life! I began seeing Dr. Alvarez for acupuncture in 2011 after years of suffering from extreme fatigue & and overall feeling that my body was shutting down. I spent thousands of dollars visiting specialists over a three year period with no answers (dealing with cocky know it all Dr.s who just wanted to put me on medication after medication without knowing what was even wrong).
At my first visit.. with a simple series of questions and exam.. he immediately knew what was wrong with me! I had been suffering from a autoimmune thyroid disease. He eased my mind by informing me that is could be treated with a simple blood test & trip to a endocrinologist (for the thyroid) He recommended a wonderful specialist & I have my life back thanks to his knowledge, thoughtfulness & compassion. My family & I are forever grateful to him. :)
Acupuncture is painless, relaxing & efficient. After a session I feel great for weeks. He's very thorough in listening & treating all concerns. He has the lightest touch with the needle placement that I've ever experienced. Completely painless.
I do a lot of modeling so it's important to keep the perfect pout. I receive perlane injections in my lips from Dr. Alvarez. The shape & amount of filler used is always perfectly on point. He uses a special technique to shape them after the product has been injected & it makes allllll the difference in the world. My injections even seem to last a little longer when he does them.
The office is always clean, smells nice & so welcoming. The girls who work there are sweet as pie. All my stresses seem to go away when I'm there surrounded by such good spirited people. In the waiting area.. there diplomas, plaques & awards of achievements displayed.. letting you know you're in good hands.
I believe Dr. Eddie Alvarez is heaven sent. What a positive impact he makes on each life he touches.. highly educated, compassionate, gentle, caring & most of all.. HONEST. I don't think you could as for more in Dr or human being. That's why Dr. Eddie Alvarez is #1 in my eyes.

I have had crowns and cleanings, and cavities filled. He is kind, thorough, and has an extreme expertise. Dr. Alvarez is by far the greatest dentist in the universe.

Had a rear molar break, and every time my old dentist fixed it, it ended up re-breaking again. Was told about Dr. Alvarez by a co-worker. He fixed it without any problems, and I haven't had any problem with that tooth since then. Now I go to Dr. Alvarez for everything dental.
