And she is good but.. and this is a major but, on my last visit there for my yearly exam, I was almost through w the appointment when she said that I had a cavity. We both looked at it on her screen. I'm not a dr but it wasn't a black spot, it was grey and in one of my canines. I asked her if I could wait. "No, no," she said. "It will most definiteky be a cavity." Something didn't seem right about this to me. So I went to another dentist that a friend had recommended and he could not see any problem or detect the tooth that she had pointed out to me as problematic. So I decided not to go back. I don't trust them anymore. It seems they are interested in making money over the well being of their patients.

My Experience: Exam & Consultation, X-Rays

Duration: Time wasn't an issue. They're good w time. I have to say.

I know this doctor: I've been seeing this woman, dds, for several years

I went to this dentist for a simple cleaning. It was better than a cleaning I received at one of those dental clinic type places in the city, but still not what I would call extremely thorough. The dental assistants and dentist were all very nice though, but I did feel somewhat rushed in and out of there. It was $25 extra for flouride treatment at the end.

I wanted to have invisalgn to correct teeth spacing. The clinic took $500 of my money before giving me a contract. Six weeks after taking $500 I started calling to ask for an update on my dental work. They did not return phone calls during that 6 week period. The braces came in no one called. When the contract/ invisalign pictures came back they told me that the contracted amount maybe different at the end of the treatment and I would have to pay more money, although I already had a contracted price. When you call the office they do not call back Some of the office staff can be sarcastic and argumentative I asked to speak to Van Brown to place a complaint at least 4x. He does not call back The office manager instead of trying to resolve the situation argues to justify the clinics lack of management and protocol. When I was there the end of August 2010, a male stood at the counter and complained that they had performed a root canal on the wrong tooth. One of the receptionists behind the counter didn't understand why customers would be upset with these kinds of issue. She sucked her teeth and rolled her eyes stating I do not know what the problem is!

Service has been okay. Waits are typical for a dentist around 5-15 min from appointment time. After avoiding a cleaning for 4 years (!) I finally broke down and scheduled a cleaning. The cleaning determined that my gums were in bad shape and after getting scaled needed osseous gum surgery. The procedure was done and I began the recovery process. The specialist in charge of the procedure seemed competent and friendly--the technicians who performed the scaling were "enthusiastic" about their work--they really tried and had no compunctions about scolding me (at length) about taking care of my teeth. The biggest problem however turned out to be an error in insurance billing. As a result, further treatment was greatly delayed while we waited for the resubmission of all my paper work to ensure that I paid the correct rate instead of way overpaying again. Note: the biggest concern I had is with the specialists. there's no guarantee that you'll get anybody decent. I've heard particularly bad things about one of their specialists (who I luckily did not have to see) from another dentist.

Two fillings competently done. Periodontal procedure not satisfactory. Pain, swelling, darkened teeth. Feels like a sort of factory. A number of dentists, hygienists, assistants. Dentists speak little, communicate through receptionists. A first exam and teeth cleaning paid through my HMO. Further work directly paid and costly. Periodontal work very costly. Mid-procedure, doctor raised price for one quad from $600 to $1100.

Front desk is rude, under-handed, and sneaky. I was told my treatment was taken care of by insurance company 100% Once all treatment was nearing the end i was told I needed to pay an extra fee. Front desk claims to have discussed the matteer with me prior to treatment but, if that was so, the treatment would have been refused. Now, 6 months later, I'm receiving threatening phone calls of the acct. being sent to collections for a service I had yet to receive.

I would not recommend him to anyone as a matter a fact I never even saw him yet I was told I needed two wisdom teeth pulled. When I asked why since they had been fine for 15 years the girl said well they have a little decay and since they are just wisdom teeth they don't do anything. Pull teeth because "they don't do anything" where did she get her license? She also said I had 5 cavities. I realized I needed a 2nd opinion. The next dentist said I might have 1 cavity that should be filled just to be safe and that he would not recommend pulling any teeth. I really think I was being up sold. I felt like a was getting my car worked on but a hack muffler shop. DO NOT GO THERE.

Both my wife and I had poor experiences there on separate visits. It's true that you feel like you're being worked on by a bunch of students, not professionals, who do not care about the quality of your dental treatment. The cleaning did not feel thorough and they literally spent less than 5 minutes cleaning your teeth, clearly missing many areas. I could clean my teeth better at home! I would not recommend going to this dentis - this is the worst dental care I have ever received.

I chose Dr. Brown because hes in my Dentcare plan. He does no work on any of the patients there, he has a bunch of interns doing work on everyones teeth and he just walks around. The girl who did my filling told me she almost hit a nerve and she had to stop, i asked to see her degree/credentials she had none, she told me she didnt have them there. The receptionist there verbally abused me and told me my plan does not cover what I had done when it does, i was there for 30 minutes argueing with her, then Dr. brown comes out and tells me he does not like my plan and I should see him when I switch to the other plan. My plan has no co=payment and the other plan is $50 co-payment so thats obviously why he was so rude to me. The place looked like a welfare clinic. Do not go to this dentist, I have already reported him to my dental insurance company.
