Read Reviews for Dr. Michelle Levite
Dr. Levite is yhe very best. I do not and have never enjoyed the dentist before I lucked out and was recommended to go to Dr levite. She is professional and will and has gotten out of bed to do a root canal at midnight.

I have a brother-in-law who is a dentist in California that i saw for a check up while visiting. He took x-rays and saw that i have about 9 cavities and 2 fillings that were poorly done with overhangs that would catch food. He re-did some fillings, did 2 of my cavities and a cleaning and then gave me what would be his treatment plan to get done when I got back to NYC. A friend recommended Dr. Levite to me so i went for a cleaning and examination. She did a cleaning and commented on how clean my teeth were and that there wasn't much to clean - but somehow her scaling still hurt. It was tolerable, but i've had gentler. What struck me was that she took bitewing x-rays and said my teeth were all fine and i had no cavities. I was coming to her with HMO insurance and i wonder if she just didn't want to do the work because it wouldn't pay off.

I have no idea how Dr. Levite has gotten positive reviews. The office was disgusting. It was dirty and the lab area was right out front - anyone could just walk right in. Dr. Levite barely spoke to me and didn't introduce herself. When she went to clean my teeth, she literally ripped apart my gums. I literally spit out chunks of my gum/skin. I had blood spattered all over my face and tshirt when I walked out, and this morning I woke up to little blood spots between all my teeth. I told her she was really hurting me and so she basically just proceeded to do it more slowly. I don't know why I didn't walk out. I have an incredibly high pain tolerance, but this was like a butcher shop. Please don't go here. It was a truly creepy (and painful) experience. I don't know how she has returning patients. Please please don't go here. I am not one of those people who typically writes reviews, but I don't want anyone else to have this experience.
About Front Desk: She was nice and helpful. The only upside.

About Hygienist: He didn't do anything but take my xrays. He also kept popping in during the "cleaning" to ask Dr. Levite "are you done yet?" It was strange. It was like she was reporting to him.

Michelle has handled all my dental work, root canals, crowns and extractions, since I first went to her more than ten years ago. I have always been fearful of dental appointments, very nervous. Michelle's personna is perfect - she is calm, gentle, and very patient. She takes extra time to make sure anesthetic is fully effective and I am sure that all procedures will be as painless as possible. I have never had a negative experience.
Billing has always been handled within the limits of my dental insurance, my appointments have always been on time, and Michelle is accessable when needed for any question I have had.
I cannot recommend Michelle Levite too highly. She is a wonderful dentist.
