Dr Mittl is quite simply a great dentist. My experience in her chair is always pleasure. She has excellent communication skills, always letting me know exactly what is going on and thus minimizing stress. Even more importantly, she always listens to me, actively seeking information as to how I am feeling in the chair. She has an easy and familiar manner, and always makes me feel comfortable. Her equipment seems top-notch, but the real plus here is a dentist who remembers her patients are more than just a set of gnashers.
Also Dr. Mittl has an excellent and professional assistant.
All in all, my experiences in her chair have always been positive.

would never go to anyone else.... in fact iof I moved countries I would at least fly back for my check ups

It had been over 2 years since my last visit to a dentist and I had a plethora of dental issues. Dr. Mittl was patient, thorough, and handled my issues and questions in a very kind manner. I had my cleaning with her, and in order to accomodate my work schedule, I underwent several procedures with Dr. Simpson, another dentist in the practice, and her husband. Both doctors were wonderful, very efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. Because of my irregular work schedule and location, I had to switch dentists, but if that weren't the case, I would definitely keep Drs. Mittl or Simpson. I highly recommend both of them!
About Hygienist: I don't recall the names of the hygenists, they were both kind of silent, not terribly nice, but not terribly mean either.

I'm glad to have found this site; now, I can tell the world Dr. Mittl is the best dentist I have ever met. Reading through the positive reviews above, I agree with them all. When I first met Dr. Mittl, I was extremely on guard due to some horrible experiences with dentists. With her relaxed, professional, and respectful manner, she made me feel at ease and listened to my needs and concerns. She LISTENED and delivered her diagnosis in detail; she spent the time to take care of me. She gave me the various treatment options stating pros and cons of each (I love her humorous metaphor that one can buy a Ferrari or a GM car...Both will you get you to point A to B, but one will cost you significantly higher). Once the treatment option was chosen, she planed it out to suit my schedule and finances. I know that dentists define your experience, but her staff members are also professional, ethical, and efficient with scheduling and billing -- there is no smoke and mirrors in this office. I have to admit that the office decor isn't the best, however I've been to many spa-like dentist offices, and my primary need from is to be heard and to be take care of.

Dr. Mittl is great. She does the cleaning herself and is very gentle. Had a filling done and it was a breeze. Very accomodating and friendly staff too. Can't recommend enough.

I picked Dr. Mittl from a list based on how near she is to my apt. and really lucked out. I liked her immediately. Her manner is personable, relaxed, competent. She explained in detail each step she took, for example how she was measuring my gum recessions, what import each measurement had, what I can do to minimize further receding, etc. Very informative, very clear. Also her touch during exam and cleaning was extremely gentle.
Afterwards, I found out I'd made a mistake and she's not in-network for my insurance, but I'm impressed enough that I'm willing to pay a deductible to see her. P.S. She's listed as a member of the Academy of General Dentistry; when I asked how long she's been practicing she said 24 years.

Everytime I see Dr. MIttl I am reminded of just how thorough and stress free a visit to the dentist can be. She makes me feel extreemly comfortable and keeps me well informed of whatever procedure she is performing which always helps lower the anxiety levels associated with dental work. I've never had any issue with billing or insurance and everyone that works in her office is helpful and patient.

Dr. Mittl is truly one of the finest dentists, professionals that I have ever been lucky enough to have. I was going through a particularly rough time in many ways when I was first reccommended to her by a friend who has been her patient for over 15 years. She was patient with me, worked with me when I really needed it. I'll never forget that or her kindness. Her staff is efficient and friendly and she is very available to her patients. I don't plan on ever seeing anyone else. I'd reccommend her or any of her partners without hesitation. Mary Katherine
