My tooth broke and had to be extracted. I went to Dr. Ahani because our dental office refers our patients there. I had only heard the other patients rave about him. Now, I was in the same situation as they had been. I can tell you first hand(BTW, I have been in the dental profession in San Mateo for over 35 years and am still employed as office manager) that if you are in need of an oral surgeon for extractions or implants I cannot say enough great things about the service I received. From beginning to end it was terrific. Not one question I had went unanswered. Not one bit of pain. Not one bit! I am still in awe about that! If you want to feel confident about choosing a dentist for implants chose the best.....I now know I did! Caroline M.

I am very unsatisfied with Dr. Ahani's office because I took my son and daughter there to get their wisdom teeth removed back in December 2009 and ended up receiving a huge unexpected bill of about $1,400. It was very frustrating because I had met with his office multiple times to get confirmations of the cost estimates. On the day of the surgery, I even paid in full the amount they told me was outstanding in order to bring my account to a zero balance. One month later, I receive two invoices totaling an outstanding amount of almost $1,400. This came as a shock. What's even more frustrating is that my children went in for surgery on the second to last week of December, and so if they had provided us with an accurate estimate, we would have been able to wait only a few more days to have more credit in our insurance for 2010. We had depended on their expertise as they are dental professionals, but unfortunately, they did not deliver the type of professionalism which is expected of this industry.
I would not recommend Dr. Ahani, but If you decide to see him, be wary of any estimates that they provide you, they will simply say that the client is expected to call the insurance company themselves.

Dear Ahani and Staff are amazing!!
My 3 1/2 year old son had a terrible fall and fractured his 2 front baby teeth, which needed to be removed. Talk about anxiety!
Dr. Ahani and staff were exceptionally good with my son and put both of us at ease.
The extraction was done in under 10 minutes and complication free. My son is doing great and has NO memory of the experience (so future dentists visits will not be a problem).
Their office is very comfortable and everybody is super-friendly.
I am praying we have no need for any additional extractions - but if we did, I would see Dr. Ahani again in a heartbeat.

I had a bad tooth infection and was in a lot of pain. I called Dr. Ahani office and they were able to get me in a same day and treated me immediately. Dr. Ahani is extremely gentle and the tooth extration went well and he and his staff are excellent! Highly recommeded!

I saw him when he is helping out at Dr. Jerowski's office in South Bay. Doctor Ahani is fantastic! I was telling him how much I am suffering because of my wisdom tooth and he offered to do the extraction the same day as my consultation. I was very thankful. He is EXCELLENT at surgeries. Definitely experienced. It was very little pain and very little bleeding. High recommended!!!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Ahani. He is one of the most warm and caring health-care individuals I have ever encountered. He takes the time to explain the procedure and what to expect after. He follows up with telephone calls. My mother has some seriious health concerns. She had to have a few extractions and he was such a professional.

Dr. Ahani extracted 2 teeth for me. He was extremely professional as was his staff. He thoroughly explained all my treatment options and the procedures he performed. He and his staff made my visit very comfortable and stress-free. The facility was modern, comfortable and relaxing. The procedures were a success. I would highly recommend Dr. Ahani.

Dr. Ahani removed all 4 of my difficult wisdom teeth today (they were all close to my nerves) and it was a difficult procedure, but he succesfully removed them all. Dr. Ahani is a very pleasing gentleman and understood that I was nervous. He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. Best of all he called me later on during the day and asked how I was feeling. He is both professional and proficient at what he does. Even the facility I was in, looked welcoming and soothing. I also feel so little pain that I'm able to sit at this computer and type this review. I highly recommend Dr. Ahani for oral surgery needs.
