I saw this dentist for about 4 years. I always had a good experience with Dr. Benben and the hygienists. There were two times I had to reschedule my cleaning appointment and it resulted in a several month delay each time. Before my last visit I had changed insurance providers and brought in my new insurance card. I was told by the front office they take my insurance plan. They lost my insurance card, I was billed, and when I cleared it up with them and insurance they were not in network. Dental work was top notch, front office not so much.

I've been going to Dr. BenBen for 20 years and I've always had very good experiences. He's seen me through several dental emergencies and I highly recommend him.

You can't be sure he won't leave you in pain all night with no help. Try someone else with more compassion.

I received poor customer service at this dentist office, and have had several tooth complications resulting from the incompetence of the hygienist who saw me as well as the dentist's subsequent reaction to the hygienist's mistakes (i.e, not correcting or acknowledging the mistakes of the hygienist and minimizing my concerns, which resulted in even greater complications down the line). I would not recommend this facility.

I came to this dental office when I moved to Portland, and my experience here has been overwhelmingly negative. I have never had tooth pain after a regular cleaning, and after my first cleaning appointment at this office my mouth ached terribly for a few days because the hygienist was so rough on my teeth. After about a week of tooth pain, I realized that she had chipped one of my molars. I have now had that tooth fixed twice by this dentist, and each time my concerns were not validated and I was assured that it was "no big deal". I have never had problems with that tooth before, and since the dental hygienist chipped it it has hurt constantly.
Needless to say, I will be going back to my old dentist office to have my tooth fixed and I will not be returning to this office again.

I've had several front fillings done and the work was top-notch, the pain absolutely minimal, and the chair-side manner exceptional. Dr. Ben Ben is the best dentist I've ever had. I actually enjoy going to the dentist!

to refer anyone to. His manor is pleasing, and will take
time to explain things as they are with my teeth.
