Dr Nnaughton has treated my family for three generations. But we are changing dentist due to his awful receptionist Sandy. She doesn't know how to do her job and then gives attitude and blames patients for her own mistakes. Did not verify benefits before a cleaning on my son and he has used his max benefit for the year. She sent us the bill and told us we should have done it ourselves She has written the wrong date on appointment card on several occasions. Patients get blamed for her mistakes all the time.

Dr. Mike is a wonderful dentist. He explains what's going on clearly and explains treatment clearly. He is highly skilled. Regarding the ratings above...I do not expect my dentist's office to be like a spa or a 5 star hotel. In my opinion those are dumb ways to rate a dentist's office. I do know that if you want a skilled, personable dentist who explains everything clearly, Dr. Mike is for you.

I came in a nervous mess, hadn't seen a dentist in over 15 years. Dr. Mike was patient, calming, reassuring. He didn't make me feel guilty, he is incredibly caring and really makes the experience very calm. I've had several procedures done now and they have been pain-free which is what scares me so much. My teeth are in terrific shape now, thanks to Dr. Mike. I'm no longer afraid of going there, I even fell asleep during my last filling which I can't believe. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Mike, his staff is wonderful, professional and caring. I recommend him to everyone because Dr. Mike and his staff have just made such a wonderful impact on my dental health and my fears of the dentist are completely gone. My husband and kids go there too!

They have a very seasoned staff of hygenists and Dr Naughton is excellent! They all make the experience pleasant and are knowledgeable and generally positive. My daughter enjoys him and she is 9 (the kids know best, right?) (the down side is if paying cash, would be nice if they discounted 15% not the 10% ...) If you live in Menlo park and Gateway, I would definately recommend this office for family denstistry~
