Dr. Bruce and his Excellent Staff are the very best dental professionals that I have ever experienced. Dr. Parker is charming, personable, and warm, and puts you at immediately ease with his gentle witty banter. As I have had many dental procedures, I have never seen a Doctor that knows the very latest advances, products, and techniques; the most healthful and preventative practices; and the best patient experience as Dr. Bruce Parker and his wonderful staff. Dr. Parker told a racist (hispanic) joke to me while I was in the chair with my mouth held open for a root canal. His 'sense of humor' borders on reprehensible. I put up with it for many years because of the inconvenience of changing dentists. But i have changed. Surely the field has more mature and decent dentists. Go to one these, not Dr. Parker.
About Hygienist: Hygienists have alway been good. It is apparent that they endure his attitude because they have no choice.

Dr. Parker and his office. . . where to begin. Over the 1.5 years I used this dentist, I have accumulated a long list of negative reasons why no one should utilize his "services".
#1) Be prepared to sit in the waiting room for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes after you arrive, regardless of when your appointment was scheduled.
#2) If you are unlucky enough to have a tooth pulled by Parker himself, I feel your pain. The man took forever and couldn't get the tooth out. It broke, and my jaw hurt for months. I have had 6 teeth pulled in my life. I have never felt so much pain, and had to go through such a long process. On top of it all, while he was doing the procedure, and CLEARLY having trouble, he was having a conversation w/ one of his staff in the hallway and telling jokes the whole time!!!!!
#3) He wants your money and will create conditions that you don't really have in order to get it. Periodontal disease? Small gaps between your teeth and gums. Apparently he tells a lot of his patients they have this. I mean, how would they know if it's a lie. They put their trust into the doctor. Of course, when you ask if your insurance will cover this, they look it up and confidently say "YES". Then the bill comes and you find out, it's not. TOO LATE. You have to pay $300.
#4) In 2009, I used MetLife as my insurance provider. In 2010, I was forced to change to CIGNA due to my employer changing plans. I notified Parker's office of this and they said "OK". I continued going there, and guess what? Parker's office is not in CIGNA's network. Almost everything I had done was either not covered, or only at 50%. I didnt find out til the bills came! They did not have the decency to tell me this when I notified them of my insurance carrier change.
#5) Expect a busy signal when you call in to the office.
#6) Need a receipt to send in to your insurance provider or medical card? No, they don't have receipts for services. Just a printout of your billing account with abbreviations of services rendered. Microsoft Word?

I have had two major sessions with Dr. Parker a few years apart, and both were wholly unsatisfying. This past time, I spent $825 for a partial overlay on one of my molars. In addition, I had two fillings. Since then, every day for the past 3 weeks, I have been in constant excruciating pain. I have gone back twice for adjustments, which have not helped. In fact, now my back molars on one side don't even touch. When I tried to tell him what I thought the problem was, he told me "don't think, just let me work". I can't tell you how much I regret having anything done by this guy. I had to go to my PCP to get a prescription for painkillers, and I still wake up in the middle of the night with terrible pain. I am at my wits end, and it has brought me to tears on several occasions. If I could go back in time to change one thing in my life, it would be to never have seen Dr. Bruce Parker.

This dental office has many fancy digital equipments. However, the service is marginal at best. If you call with an emergency, the receptionist will tell you that the dentist is not available until 2 or 3 days later. They seem not care about the patients very much. If you are the last patient and the staff wants to leave the office soon, prepare to see long faces and rolling eyes. Not a good experience.

His facilities are lovely, and he is competent. But I've given him more than too many chances to redeem himself, and I've been stupid. For he has NO bedside manner, is VERY ROUGH, and is just TERRIBLE WITH CHILDREN!!!!! He makes absolutely NO effort to make them comfortable. He has reduced my 9 year-old son to tears, and he has done just about the same thing to me in the past! I should never have given him the chance to ruin my son's opinion of dentists. He's terrified now, and I feel like it's all my fault. If you have kids, RULE DR. PARKER OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
