My experience with Dr. Craven's office was fine until I received their bills. I was told upon my first visit that my coverage was intact and in network. A Complete Lie: As it turns out, they were not contracted with my insurance company (United Health Care - not a small company). I then (before receiving their bill) took my two girls to Dr. Craven's office for routine checkups. I gave them my card, was rewarded by smiles all around, only to later receive the bill (with the previous bill attached) showing that none of the services were covered. When I called them to question why they would not bring it to my attention that they were not contracted with UHC, I was told "I would never had said you had coverage if you didn't". But, that's exactly what happened. Dr. Craven's services were satisfactory, but beware his office staff's ineptitude. Be absolutely sure you are covered and in network before moving forward with these people. Inept, inept, inept!

Terrible customer service, very unfriendly staff and the dentist doesnt bother to take time to talk with you and explain things. Found another dentist and am very satisfied now.

I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. Very bad customer service. save your self headache and do not visit this dentist.

Dr. Craven helped me get past my terror of dental work.
He is gentle, and even though I've had extensive work,
he has never hurt me. He has very good patience with
"scaredy cats!!!"

I feel my family received quality dental care. The staff is very genuine and answered all questions. Billing and insurance was not complicated. A pleasant experience without all the fluff that is currently so popular.

As a child, I had a terrible fear of the dentist. I would often have nightmares that all of my teeth were falling out. As a young adult, I would get lectures about how bad my teeth were, even though I was doing my best, but it made it emotionally really difficult to go regularly to the dentist. Dr Craven and his staff has "cured' me of this. Dr. Craven has the least painful interventions that I have ever had, and I have had a few. His staff is supportive and highly professional which encourages me to come back. They send out both reminder cards and calls. I am a professional in the Austin area, and recommend him whenever possible. My family goes there now, and that is the best compliment that I can give a dental office!

I highly recommend Dr. Craven. He provides excellent quality of treatment in a friendly, caring environment.
My story:
After an aweful experience with another dentist, someone suggested I see Dr. Craven.
Dr. Craven did a beautiful job repairing some old fillings, and was extremely gentle. He found the problem areas and patiently explained them to me, suggesting conservative treatments as possible, and even referring me to another dental specialist so that I would get the best comprehensive care available.
Anesthesia: He did a fabulous job with the anesthesia, with maximal numbing of the teeth and minimal overflow into the rest of the face. Afterwards, my face did not look like I had suffered a stroke, and I was able to talk and smile with moderate ease.
Dental Work: He did a beautiful job drilling and filling. He regularly checked to make sure I was feeling okay and that my jaw was okay. He was gentle to my face, with no residual damage done to my cheeks or lips.
Dr. Craven seems to genuinely desire to provide the best care possible for his patients. If you want someone who is focused on you and your dental care, someone who will really listen to you, I highly suggest Dr. Craven.

Good price, and easy schedule from the appointment. However, this is still my first visit. So I will post more later.

I'm a huge baby when it comes to my mouth. The entire staff made me comfortable and at ease.
They're all a wonderful group.
