Read Reviews for Dr. John Kelp
Dr. Kelp did my dental veneers and it was the biggest mistake of my life. When trying to determine whether to use him or a specialist, Kelp told me he was an expert at this, so since he was my regular dentist, I went with him. I began having trouble with the veneers immediately, and almost all of them have popped off and have needed to be replaced. Until recently, Kelp replaced them, but as I continue to experience problems, he has begun trying to end our relationship. He is no longer interested in fixing his substandard work and offered to make a settlement so that I could have another dentist do the repairs. He then changed his mind, and now refuses to fix the problems, settle with me or communicate except through his insurance company. Stay away from this guy! All smiles and kind words, but in my opinion, not capable of quality work or standing behind his practice.

Dr. Kelp did a wonderful job diagnosing, preparing & helping fit my temporary "flipper" last weekend at the Texas Mission of Mercy event in Lubbock Texas. He was extremely patient and concerned that I get the best care and treatment plan to salvage my remaining teeth in question. I definitely recommend him!

Dr. Kelp is a great dentist who is very reasonable. He chose to wait and see about some work other dentists recommended and 9 years later those minor spots are still minor spots that can wait. Dr. Kelp has sophisticated equipment to safely remove amalgam fillings, but he does not push this. He only told me about this after I asked him this year. I noticed that he also has won the "dentist of the year" in Texas twice.
About Hygienist: Nancy Alm has been my hygienist for 9 years. She is efficient, friendly and thorough. I feel lucky to have her.

I have been going to Dr. Kelp for 20 years now. I have always enjoyed him and his office staff so much that I also elected to take my children to him instead of a pediatric dentist. My kids love him too! There have been two instances where I needed immediate dental treatment during non-business hours. Both times, he made special arrangements to meet me at his office and take care of things without making me wait until the next business day. Dr. Kelp is an excellent dentist and a wonderful person to be around. His staff are all great too. You can tell they all enjoy working for him.

I have been a patient of Kavin Kelp for over six years. In that time I have always been impressed by his pleasant, personal manner with patients. I, too, rhad crown work done without any antthesia. Dr. Kelp said he would administer anthesia if I preferred, but that he thought the procedure would be painless. He was very clear in telling me that if I was uncomfortable at any time I should stop him and ask for pain killer. In fact, he stopped several times to ask me if I was okay. I suffered no pain and the crown works beautifully. I have always been pleased by the courteous treatment by all of his staff, and I continue to recommend him to friends.

Dr Kelp put a crown on a molar without administering the anesthesia properly (I was in excruciating pain the whole time); then, he drilled a hole into the top of the crown exposing the inner core before placing it in my mouth; the crown does not match the shape of my other teeth; and placing this crown in my mouth caused the left side of my mouth to be in a state of malocclusion. I experienced varying degrees of ongoing pain on the left side of my mouth,as well as, gumline recession throughout my mouth after the crown was placed.
