Dr Boyd has been my dentist for so long because of all the dentists that I've had before and other dentists that I've encountered, she has the nicest environment, latest technology and equipment and has the most precise but still accomodating staff/dentist. From my first visit, I have always been impressed with their dedication to infection control - they were the first that I saw that covered/sterilized not only the tools that directly touch your mouth but also any light handles, trays or anything they would touch with their hand before touching your mouth. Infection control, especially for chronic illnesses like hepatitis and HIV, is important to me since many infected do not actually know that they are infected since they are not ill. Dr Boyd keeps up with the latest practices, procedures and instruments. Occasionally, initially I am distrustful of new procedures but I always find that the treatment that she suggests works well. Also even though Debbie takes care of my insurance claims, estimates for new procedures are provided for me ahead of time so that I can plan for any uncovered expenses like deductibles and such. If I have any additional concerns, they always take time to discuss it with me as much as needed.
About Hygienist: Sharlene is very much like Dr Boyd - she is careful and complete and has always been very understanding and gentle with my shortcomings as a dental patient.

Dr. Boyd was recommended by a co-worker. Her staff is wonderful. I have recently moved and am considering making the 1 hour drive to keep her as my dentist--her office is THAT good. I had not been to the dentist in over 20 years. I figured I was in for some serious chastising. But her and her staff never made me uncomfortable or regret finally going in. I have recommended Dr. Boyd's office to my sister and she has recommended Dr. Boyd to her boss! Everyone I know who has been treated by Dr. Boyd loves her.

Dr. Boyd and her staff are wonderful.
I had to switch dentists because of location, but I highly recommend her if you are in the neighborhood.
