I have gone to Dr.Hohenstein for many years. Even though he is not the closest dentist to me, I will cheerfully drive past other offices to receive his kind, gentle care. His knowledge is extensive. The hygeiniets are great. The office is bright and cheerful. Everyone is professional. He keeps up with all the newest tecniques. What's not to like?

Dr. Hohenstein is wonderful! His relaxing manner and cheerful disposition is a joy. He is also honest about your dental needs and I never feel that he is pushing me to have dental work done.

Dr. Hohenstein is amazing and very very kind. He is always smiling and in a great mood. He explains everything in great detail and in a language that I can understand. I highly recommend him to every one I know.

Dr. H has been my dentist since I moved to Tucson approx. 11 years ago. I have never had any problems with him or his office. The customer service is great and everyone is very nice and helpful. Dr. H is great at explaining the proceedure and talking you through the hardest parts. He did a front crown for me about 4 years ago that I haven't had any problems with and which looks beautiful!! Highly recommended!

Dr. Hohenstein is a caring, warm person who has a wonderful personality and has been a terrific dentist for my entire family. I especially like the fact that he does not try to force procedures on you. He gives you the facts and his opinion(s) on what should be done and then allows you to make up your mind. The entire staff is friendly and his hygenists are also very competent and caring. We have thoroughly enjoyed being in his care for the past ten years and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist.

Dr. Hohenstein was great at what he did, made me feel comfortable and put some great crowns on. Then, like another review said, I too cancelled an appointment because I had to take my 1 year old son to the emergency room with a 103 degree fever and I had to cancel one other time because my babysitter decided not to show. Like the other reviewer I recieved a letter stating that I was no longer welcome at his office. I called and asked why they were refusing to treat me and they said I didn't show up for appointments, I explained that I did call to cancel even if it was last minute and they told me that Dr. Hohenstein would call me himself. When I recieved the call from him, I explained that I had in fact called the two times I had missed and that there had been nothing I could do at the time. He simply told me that perhaps once I had my life under control he may consider treating me again. I decided that I would not waste my time. I have a phobia of dentists, so it took me over two years to find another one I could trust after this. I now travel two hours to scottsdale for my dental work. My family is still treated by Dr. Hohenstein and they love him, he is a great dentist, just far to quick to dismiss you if you miss an app.

I was impressed with my initial appointment. My first cleaning appointment was excellent by the technician but Dr. Hohenstein did not check on the work performed and I did get the impression that he ignored me due to the fact that I had to cancel one appt. and missed another due to work issues. Then I received a letter in the mail telling me that his office no longer wanted to have me as a patient due to missing the one appt. A few months later they sent me another appt reminder in the mail and I called to confirm and the receptionist again said that I was not welcome at their office and the mailing was a mistake. When I received a notice for my sons appt. I called them back to confirm the fact that I was not welcome and the receptionist said she did not realize this was going on and that my son was still welcome. I explained that we will no longer use his office and not recommend him to anyone.

Needed a great dentist for my family. My 6 and 8 year old thought he was great. He spoke to them and made them feel very comfortable. He did not try and get me to pull teeth that I thought needed to be pulled, he stated it would fall out on its own. His office was very friendly and helpfull. Have had a bad treatment from other office in Tucson, so was very standoffish at first, but will keep our family here.
