Read Reviews for Dr. Carla Dodge
The receptionist is very nice and the office is in a nice building. Parking is a little hard, but overall things are pretty good there as far as the facilities. The girls that do cleanings are also friendly and do a good job. Dr Dodge, however, was painful in her procedures. Also, one crown that she did on my tooth never worked out and continues to hurt after 4 years. She rechecked it but said it is fine, I had to go to another dentist to make it fit better, but it caused trauma to my jaw which still hurts. Her billing is also a problem. She is in network for my insurance, but still charges more than their allowed amount. My insurance said it is against their rules and she can not do that and even called there to tell them that, but never the less, she continues doing that. I finally had to change dentists because of all these problems.
I would recommend this office for cleanings (if you are willing to deal with paying more than the insurance amount). I would not recommend this office for any fillings or crowns.

The receptionist and hygienist are friendly. The dentists have normal bedside manor. The billing department is horrible. I was billed incorrectly for services. The office is a preferred provider for my insurance, Delta Dental, but refused to send a fax back that Delta Dental requested from them in order to be paid. Instead the dental office insisted I pay the bill and threated going to collection so I had to pay out of my pocket when I had insurance! The dental office had assured me they would deal with my insurance and in fact were preferred providers, but they were not helpful. The billing is also part time and so is hard to get hold of. The dentists themselves also would not help. I finally had to leave the dental office for another one nearby that has been wonderful.
The dental treatment I received was ok, but the crown I got using a machine that makes the crown in the office was quick to be put into my mouth in only 1 appointment. However, it hurt horribly for months and I had to go back several times to try to adjust it and finally gave up and it still hurts. My new dentist is trying to fix it but I may have to get a new crown.

In addition to her medical ability Dr. Dodge has first class hands. She never fumbles. It takes her one or two tries for final adjustments. Because she is so good her calmness makes me much calmer.

I have been going to Dr. Dodge since I turned 18 and as a 25 year old grad student, am looking forward to continuing with her with my own health insurance next year. She is the most concerned dentist that I have ever met when it comes to making sure the patient is not in pain. Her staff seems to really enjoy working there and many of them have been there for a very long time. The atmosphere is very relaxed and makes yor feel at home, appointments are easy to get. She has often accomodated my weird college schedule. I highly recommend her.
