General dentistry and top dentures and all treatments were successful and done meticulously. r higashi takes great care to ensure that you that you feel no pain and helps you to relax during the dental procedure. he has a great chair side manner and explains in detail what needs to be done and how it will be accomplished. he's the best dentist i have ever had and i feel confident that i have received the best dental care possible after each visit. his office staff is great and they are all in harmony in seeing that you are comfortable. i feel that dr. higashi and his staff are the best in the business.

Dr. Higashi is the first dentist I've had who does his own cleanings - that's right, he is his own hygienist.
When I asked him why, he gave the very sensible answer that the cleanings help him better understand the condition and sensitivities of the teeth and gums of his patients. Duh! And here I thought it was all in the Xrays!.
Meanwhile, I find Dr. Higashi most personable with excellent chairside manner. His staff are pleasant and competent, and I recommend him unconditionally.

While this doctor is very knowledgeable about dentistry (he teaches at the UW), he is also one of the most expensive dentists around. He likes to find the most expensive procedures possible, even if he treated the tooth only 6 months prior. While some of his staff is great, the front desk staff will do what ever possible to keep the bills coming in the door. If you have unlimited insurance, this is the doctor to see.

The staff was very nice, but Higashi was very rude and arrogant every time I saw him. He gave me so many medication shots that I felt sick for two days, and my face was sore for a week. The worked looked terrible. This was just for a chipped tooth, which has in less than a month, rechipped.

Dr. Higashi was rude and did not even pay attention to one of concerns about a painful tooth. I will never go to him again. The staff is courtuos and competent, but the doctor is a rude person some times. Most of the time he is nice, but refusing to look at my tooth on a whim and being rude about it, when i had some pain in that tooth was not the way to go. The front desk receptionist is nice and so are the dental assistants. But the doctor needs more professionalism.

I was able to see Dr. Higashi for an emergency the same afternoon. His staff is cheerful, helpful, and professional and were eager to help me. The doctor's assistant was caring, thorough, and knowledgable. Dr. Higashi's chair-side manner is stellar. He saw to my needs quickly and very obviously is an excellent dentist. From now on he will be my primary dentist.
