My son who is visiting San Francisco from Ireland for the Summer had to get emergency dental work completed. Dr. Tan did a wonderful job and could not have been more accommodating. The work was done over two appointments and both times she did excellent work and my son experienced very little, if any pain.

I have been going to Dr Tan for years and am very satisfied with her. She is gentle, considerate, and very competent. I would recommend her to anyone in search of an excellent dentist.

Nice person, but not the best dentist. All she does is check your teeth and her cleaning methods is not efficient. She only cleans the front set of teeth and never the back teeth. Usually my office visits are fifteen minutes. Her staff are friendly, including herself.

love dr.tan. i've been going to her for years. she's definately a gental dentist. pain from my procedures from 1 to 10, 10 being the highest. i give her a 1, painless. she is right on target with the injections. she can work in my mouth anyday.

I went to Dr. Tan for a routine service and had a lot of pain for a process that was supposed to be pain free. Even getting a shot hurt alot as she stabbed my lower jaw bone twice without using local anesthetic. She had shot me with anesthetic over 4 times, but still I felt alot of pain through the entire process, until finally, thankfully, she had to stop. I had to be referred to another dentist to complete the procedure. Needless to say, I would not recommend her.

Dr Tan was recommended by another dentist Dr Nathan, as a good dentist who took insurance. This is important to me since I want to use an insurance company to defray my dental costs.
Dr Tan treats my wife also and my daughter, we both have had good results with her. She is very good at keeping the pain level as low as possible. Her staff is cheerful and eager to provide service. She has seen me several times on short notice for dental emergencies.
She is charming and warm, and has put up with my low pain tolerence pretty well. We always engage in a pleasant conversation.
I admire Dr Tan because her goal as a dentist is to provide good care for reasonable prices, not to build a dental office empire with other dentists under her and a large staff and bookkeeping personnel. Dentists who operate like this are often very impersonal and stand-offish. I prefer a more home-like atmosphere. Her office is small but very clean and up-beat.
Dr Tan takes a personal interest in her patients and procedures with her are pretty relaxed overall.
I would definitely recommend her to any friend, especially if they are looking for a dentist who takes insurance. Many dentist will not accept any insurance plans; she takes several and has Smilesaver

Dr. Tan runs a pretty smooth office. You have to make sure to arrive on time, otherwise, you will be penalized with a late fee. I guess that is why you are never left waiting long before you see her. I mainly just had her for cleanings and x-rays and she does a pretty good job at that. I don't recall ever experiencing any pain. Since I have insurance, there is only a small co-pay for the service. She offers some fluoride liquid that you keep in your mouth for a minute for an additional $10, that I always get as well.

I generally seek out MD/DDS dentists to work on my teeth. Dr. Tan has been great and easy to work with. Front desk is great and they always call with reminders.

I've been seeing Dr. Tan for a few years now and have been very happy. Dr. Tan and her staff are super friendly and just sets a very warm and comfortable environment.
They all have a good sense of humor and enjoys eating. My kind of dentist!

accepts Smilesavers. Went there recently b/c I chipped a tooth & she was able to squeeze me the same day. Did a great job fixing it! I'm not sure if that's how everyone's teeth cleaning experience goes, but my gums were a little sore after that.
