Wisdom Teeth Extraction: I have no complaints about Dr. Gilbert's treatment. However, I have grave concern about the office mgmt especially as it relates to how they inform their customers about their financial obligation. I called the office 3days prior to my son's sx procedure to find out what my obligations were. I was told that everything was in place and given surgical instructions. When we arrived at our appt, I was informed that we had to make a $1,008 pymt on the spot inorder for them 2 proceed with the surgery. I was floored because I was never told that I had 2 pay this or any amount prior. I asked if I could make pymts, but was denied.I asked if I could pay 1/2 now & another 1/2 in 30days & was told they would accept the 2nd half in 15days.Reluctantly, I paid the full amount because I felt that their pymt plan was unreasonable. We should have walked out the door at that point, but because we had taken the day off, we would have lost another $1,000 in wages.Recently I called the office manager 2 inform her about how unsatisfied I was w/ their practice, she, in short, told me that at the consult, minutes b4 sx, they informed us of our financial obligation, & that we could have chosen not 2 have surgery at that point :(
