I last saw Dr. Gonzalez as a patient when I was 16. He was mean then. Since our insurance only had him listed under pediatrics I decided to give it a try with my own kids. The female Dr. is nice, but Dr. Gonzalez is rude to the kids and very inappropriate with his staff in front of the kids. My son is small for his age, so maybe they didn't realize he was ten and caught on to the fact they were speaking in code about their personal lives. My son knows all about the hygienists' weekends and how Dr. Gonzalez gives them "special cigars" for upcoming concerts with out of town boyfriends. When the Dr. was asked by a hygienist how he was doing, he responded, "not as good as you're looking". My son also told me that Dr. G yelled at him for gagging and for crying after he refused to give him novacaine for a filling. He told him if he kept crying it would make him mess up his teeth. I have now had two procedures redone on my son by another dentist that Dr. G originally did. That's after Dr. G already fixed one shotty job he did...but not without announcing and yelling to the other kids waiting that my son doesn't brush his teeth right.
