I have been going to this dentist for years and have never had a complaint until now.
I was in his office a couple of times last year and once this year. I have always been happy to pay for the service but they always tell me to wait for insurance. This is even though I know going in that there will be at the very least a $50 deductible each year.
Last week, out of the blue, I got a bill for over $400, most of which was for services from last December. Back then, I had paid exactly what I was asked to pay. Today I got a copy of the bill and written on it was a threat that it will go into collection if I don't pay immediately. I have always been happy to pay for my services and with a 10 plus year history, I would expect a little more courtesy.
Interestingly, I was just in the office this summer and there was no mention of a payment due. I would have been happy to pay it on the spot.
I am very disappointed. Someone in the office dropped the ball and now I am being made to feel like a dead beat.
