I have always had a fear of dentists and have always hated going to the dentist office for any reason. Because of this I have let a few of small issues turn into a few major issues. So When I moved to Nashville I had to find a dentist; a friend recommended Dr Wells because of how comfortable he makes his patients feel. So when I had a tooth break while on vacation I decided that I had to stop procrastinating and just go. So, I called the office and explained what had happened during vacation and how I hate the dentist and that I am very uncomfortable with pretty much everything that happens at the dentist. They worked me in ASAP and got a temporary fix for my broken tooth, Deb Ham set up a cleaning and exam for me the following week so that they could just check out everything that was going on. When I came in for my appointment I was very nervous. Deb suggested that I relax in the tranquility room until I felt ready to begin my cleaning. She brought me some water and I relaxed until I felt comfortable. Denise Rice was my hygienist, I was so impressed with how easy she made it for me. When Denise was finished, Dr Wells came in for my exam and he was so great, he made me feel so comfortable about what I was going to need to have a healthy mouth and he said that my broken tooth could easily be fixed with a crown, that was a huge relief for me. I have to say for the first time I was excited to be making decisions about my smile. With my past dental experiences I have hated everything about the visit especially the part that entails having to hear the long terrifying list of things that I need to have done the next time I come back; but Dr Wells explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable with every decision. For the first time that I can remember I left the dentist stress free and comfortable with everything that had happened. I have to say that I left Dr Wells office excited to return for my next appointment!

About Hygienist: Denise Rice was my hygienist and I have to say that she was great! In my past dental experiences I usually sit through a cleaning with my hands gripping the side of the chair scared to death, but Denise was amazing. She started by giving me a paraffin wax hand treatment and offering me a blanket. She then asked if I wanted to watch TV or listen to some music, at this point I was still pretty nervous so I just asked her to turn on some music. She turned on some soft music and started the cleaning. Throughout the whole appointment Denise always made sure that I was okay with everything that she was doing and by the end of my cleaning I was so relaxed I could have went to sleep, that was a first! I would recommend Denise to anyone who has dental anxiety she was wonderful!!!
