Almost never spoke with Dr. James, which I didn't think much of, and otherwise seemed fairly good, even if the staff seemed to be unable to give me straight answers about whether or not my insurance would cover various items in treatment (I have significant gum issues & need treatment regarding this).
Here was the real problem: They recommended that I get my wisdom teeth out immediately, and (I think falsely) told me that the only way my insurance would cover the removal is to have one of the dentists do it (as opposed to an oral surgeon). I went for that, as it would save about $1300 that way. Well, that meant one of the dentists was supposed to remove the 3 emerged wisdom teeth, & those came out fine. BUT, he then said "I can get the last one," and then attempted to dig out the unemerged one. He ended up not getting all of it, and the shard that was left went into my sinus cavity. A couple days, emergency surgery, and $1600 later, I no longer had any teeth pieces in my face, but it took a long time to heal for what appeared to be (in retrospect) something that should have been done by a surgeon in the first place, which no one at that dentists' office seemed to want to tell me.
Overall, some definite sketchiness here.
