Dr. Hakim is a capable dentist, but a few unpleasant experiences made me stop going to her. First is that her hygenist that cleaned my teeth always gave me a lecture when I saw her. I mean, I know I don't floss as much as I should... but does anyone, really? My previous dental hygenist never treated me like a kid.
Then one time, I was 10 mins late to an appointment because I was running late from a meeting, and I got scolded for not showing up on time. It was the start of their lunch break, and they refused to treat me that day.
Finally, they always send me notes at the end of the calendar year informing me that I have a certain amount of dollars remaining in my dental coverage and I should call them to get details on how to spend it. This makes me feel like they're more concerned about getting those dollars than really taking care of my teeth. I'm now searching for a new dentist.
