The week of 7/24/06, I was seen by Dr. Tanaka to receive a filling on #8. Dr. Tanaka completed the procedure saying I didn't need to have a local anesthetic. This was a first for me and although it wasn't painful, it was uncomfortable. Dr. Tanaka seemed agitated and audibly sighed repeatedly throughout the whole process. His bedside manner is nonexistent and his verbal dialog with me, the patient, was nil, creating in me a perception of lethargy on his part and questions of his competency on my part.
Later in the day the office manager called. She asked me just what is it you want. Throughout our conversation , she was short, abrasive, hostile, put out. I was patient with her but finally had to say that her attitude was inappropriate. She then stated she was called at home while on vacation to deal with this problem. This left a bad taste in my mouth and I suggested that she contact PMI so a resolution could be reached ASAP, after seeing I was not making any headway. She said she would and we ended the call.
