Dr Kitada runs a small, private practice in simple offices in west LA. There are no fancy bells and whistles or high tech equipment, but I really like his straightforward, very experienced and comforting 'old-school' approach to dentistry. He is friendly, calming and gentle, and very thorough and extremely skilled in his work, which is important to someone like me who has a low pain threshold. He can be somewhat stern with his advice if you haven't been looking after your teeth properly, but then that's really in your own interests and should be heeded. His staff is friendly and efficient, never failing to call with appointment reminders. Colleagues with kids go to him, and report that he is excellent with young children. He's not on my current PPO plan, but honestly, my wife and I are prepared to pay the extra just to stay with him. For your routine dental health, I'd have no hesitation in firmly recommending him.
