Top-rating! Referred by my dentist to Dr. Al-Khalidi, Endodontist, for severe molar pain. She diagnosed an infection and a dying tooth nerve as the source of the trouble. After treating with anti-biotics, she recommended root canal, with possible extraction, depending on condition of tooth... Root canal! Extraction! Nobody wants to hear that, but I was in the mood to listen, given the pain I was in. Dr. Al-Khalidi's office and staff define "professional;" I was put at ease by her manner, and reassured by her state-of-the-art equipment and technique. (They were even able to re-schedule around my family emergency.) The procedure was absolutely painless, and done in less than an hour. The doctor and her assistant, Amanda, work together as none other I've seen--top flight. Dr. Al-Khalidi explained what was happening each step of the way, and inquired often as to my comfort or concern (I had no problems throughout). She uses a special microscope during the procedure to check the tooth for cracks--will it hold up, or eventually fail? If failing, extraction is the correct path, and she is up front about it. Fortunately, my tooth was in good shape. Bottom line: you will be extremely well served by Dr. Al-Khalidi and staff!
