It is the first time in my life I have had to threaten someone with 911 to get them to move to let me out of a dental cleaning room. Jean-Marie was incredibly smug and condescending in trying to explain some insurance issues that I didn't really understand. She also wouldn't apologize when I mentioned she was being condescending! I had told her I was interested in having the cleaning done even though her staff had screwed up and scheduled me one day early for my cleaning but she was unwilling to do it even when I stated I'd be willing to pay if insurance didn't cover it. She then refused to move out of my way (she was blocking my path to the exit) when I said I wanted to leave. I had to actually take out my phone and state that I was going to call the police before she moved. She is very difficult to work with and her staff is obviously disorganized (by scheduling the appointment at some time where apparently they couldn't even bill the insurance). She actually scolded me for this, then I pointed out that her staff had scheduled the appointment and she couldn't expect me to understand all the insurance issues, I am hardly an insurance specialist, but she and her staff should be! I would stay away from her and go to a more established dentist with a mature staff and process for taking care of insurance issues.
