I am totally satisfied with Dr. Stephanie Payne--she's wonderful--in terms of expertise, professionalism, currency with innovative practices, and personality. I have had a root canal, numerous crowns, and fillings/bonding replaced. On two occasions when the permanent crowns (made in California) did not fit properly, Dr. Payne took new impressions and had the crowns redone. In addition, I ask a number of questions during the procedures, ask to have a mirror to see what's going on, simply because I'm curious to see the process of having a crown prepared, and so forth. Dr. Payne answers my questions with directness and good humor, and keeps me apprised of what to expect so that I can be proactive about my teeth. For the first time in my life, (and I am past 50), I do not dread going to the dentist; in fact, it's enjoyable. The office staff are professional and friendly; I receive reminder phone calls to both my home and cell phones. Rescheduling is never a problem. My hygienist Lisa is a gem; she's thorough, personable, and friendly, and though she sees me only twice a year always remembers details about me as a person, so we simply continue our conversations. I feel comfortable at Gentle Dental--and confident in my care there.
