His office is set up to maximize costs- his "comprehensive oral exam" came in at three times the allowed cost for my dental plan & triple for my daughter's exam. X-rays were almost double. I paid $500 and didn't even get my teeth cleaned, despite having specifically requested that service. Instead, they tried to upsell me to "periodontal debridement". If you have more money than you know what to do with, go on and see Dr. Boesch- I am sure that he is quite competent. I wouldn't be so upset if they had warned me at the outset that they were so far out of my dental plan's coverage. Despite several phone calls with the front desk, during which she supposedly checked my insurance, the fact that I would be out of pocket several hundred dollars for nothing more than X-rays and an 'exam' somehow never came up. I know it's my fault for not checking more thoroughly with my own insurance, (caveat emptor!) but I talked with the front desk a lot and really trusted what she was telling me- she seemed to be really going above & beyond to check my eligibility! I won't make that mistake again!
