Inept and negligent: One tooth was in need of a simple root canal; Dr. Wasserman completed everything and put in a "temporary filling", and stated I would have to return in a couple days. I was concerned about what "temporary filling" meant so I asked him if I should be careful with what I ate, and he said "no you can do what you usually do." A day later I severely fractured the tooth from top to the deep root, when eating popcorn. I went to his office and he probed the tooth with an instrument and said "everything looks ok." I then used my finger to show how one corner of the tooth could be pulled completely away. He then said "oh!". Just horrifically inept. Disgusting.
He then had to cut away my gum, and implant a post, remove the fracture, leaving 1/5 of the tooth left, and build another tooth.
All totally unnecessary, and due to Dr. Joel Wasserman's horribly careless, inattentive treatment.
He jokes persistently in his office and should instead focus on practicing dentistry with discipline and professionalism. A horrible dentist. I've never had a complaint against a dentist before.
