I just saw Dr. Thlick at her Lorton office and was amazed at how great the experience was. The front office staff was courteous and knowledgeable about my insurance benefits. The only reason dental visits are expensive is if your insurance is horrible, which, unfortunately, mine is. (They should really offer better dental coverage to military spouses) The doctor spent a lot of time with me, explaining everything thoroughly and answering my questions. I really don't like going to the dentist, but this office was spectacular! The office itself was very clean and hi-tech. I felt very comfortable talking with the doctor, she really helped me to relax during my visit. What really surprised me was that the doctor started the cleaning, not her tech. I think that is a more thorough approach. She was able to see any problem areas that could have been overlooked otherwise.

About Hygienist: Ruth was excellent! The first thing I said to her is that I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist and she immediately put me at ease. She did her job thoroughly, but at my pace. If I was uncomfortable, she would stop what she was doing. She was more concerned about me as a patient than doing her job quickly. In my experience, it is very rare to find an office like this one, and I am very glad I did!
