I obviously must be happy if I've stayed with him for 11 years (1996-2007) so far. The facilities are basic but adequate and clean. The receptionist-office manager (Marcy) isn't the most pleasant person, but she gets the job done efficiently. The best part of the office is Dr. Brooks - the most important part. He does excellent work and is honestly concerned with my overall and complete dental health. I have had about 4 crowns done and a chipped tooth or two repaired. The cleanings are excellent and the hygenist is nice. I like leaving with a new toothbrush and floss after each visit. This is not a plush place, but you will get great care from Dr. Brooks. I can't comment on the costs because most everything is covered by insurance. When I had a gold crown done, I think my share of the cost (50%) was about $400.
As for stressanxiety, I don't think the facilities are conducive to those who are really spooked by the dentist. All care is done in one open room, partitioned off to give as much privacy as possible. But, you can easily hear all the drilling and other noises coming from other people. I haven't heard any screams yet, though.
I mainly go here because of Dr. Brooks and they are just a few blocks away.
