Dr Labounty prescribed some procedures that were later deemed unnecessary by other dentists I visited after I was fed up with her staff and changed dentist; that staff did a regular-like cleaning on my teeth and claimed fees for a deep cleaning. The staff never disclosed to me it was part of the deep cleaning and the procedure was just like a regular tooth cleaning. And it was very painful because of the poor performance of the staff. She said it was a cleaning up for a deep cleaning later. What!! I have done deep cleaning before and never knew there would be a preparatory phase for deep cleaning. A couple of dentists I visited later said they have never heard of such a preparatory phase for deep cleaning. When I spoke with that nurse/staff as I refused to have the insurance company pay them the deep cleaning fees they claimed, that staff was like a bitch insisting she told me it was part of a deep cleaning. I refused to pay them the deep cleaning fees as I felt being cheated by her office. I would not recommend this dental office as I think honesty is brutally important in this profession.
