This is very sad for me to read the review from 2008 regarding Dr. Roberts lack of presence in the office as I had a similar experience. I went to Dr. Roberts based on his excellent reviews in Checkbook and Seattle's Top Dentist. When I called to make the appointment I specifically asked for Dr. Roberts. However when I was done with my cleaning and the dentist came out, it was not Dr. Roberts. I had no idea who this person was and I was extremely uncomfortable being treated by someone I knew nothing about.
I did inquire on my way out why I got someone other than Dr. Roberts and was given a vague answer saying that Dr. Roberts was out of the office for an unknown length of time.
Despite my misgivings I proceeded with the treatment the other dentist reccommended. Months later I'm still working with another dentist at another practice to fix the work I had done at Dr. Roberts office. I am so sorry I didn't go with my gut and walk away.
If you're going here based on reviews about Dr. Roberts, I'd highly reccommend before you go in that you make sure it's Dr. Roberts who will actually be treating you.
