From the 7 dentists I have visited in my life, he is the 2nd worst. Although chair-side manners are smooth, and he explains things to patients to make them feel safe, that impression of safety is an illusion. I felt rushed on every visit: he tried to "fix" as many teeth as possible in a minimum of time, while also working on other patients simultaneously.
He fixed 6 teeth total, 5 of which seem (relatively) ok now.
He insisted on fixing a tooth, which was then pain free as I had had it already filled by another dentist abroad (Dr Colosimo said the other doctor had not done a good job). I so regret letting him "fix" it.
Two days later I felt so much pain, I could not eat or sleep. When I went back and told him about the pain, he prescribed pain killers, and went on to fix a tooth on the other side of my mouth! Money seems more important than patients' health. The tooth now needs a root canal, and possibly a crown, because of this unnecessary intervention.
I will have the root canal+filling/crown done by another dentist, paying out of pocket, since Dr Colosimo chewed up all my insurance benefits on other teeth with minor problems. The way he runs his office seems more business and less science oriented. I will be staying away.
