Dr Tan was recommended by another dentist Dr Nathan, as a good dentist who took insurance. This is important to me since I want to use an insurance company to defray my dental costs.
Dr Tan treats my wife also and my daughter, we both have had good results with her. She is very good at keeping the pain level as low as possible. Her staff is cheerful and eager to provide service. She has seen me several times on short notice for dental emergencies.
She is charming and warm, and has put up with my low pain tolerence pretty well. We always engage in a pleasant conversation.
I admire Dr Tan because her goal as a dentist is to provide good care for reasonable prices, not to build a dental office empire with other dentists under her and a large staff and bookkeeping personnel. Dentists who operate like this are often very impersonal and stand-offish. I prefer a more home-like atmosphere. Her office is small but very clean and up-beat.
Dr Tan takes a personal interest in her patients and procedures with her are pretty relaxed overall.
I would definitely recommend her to any friend, especially if they are looking for a dentist who takes insurance. Many dentist will not accept any insurance plans; she takes several and has Smilesaver
