This is the first time that I've gone to Dr. Woods and his office for a wisdom tooth extraction. The other times, I went to a different oral surgeon in another state.
My wisdom tooth was partially emerged from the gumline but it was slanted to towards the back and would not have come out on its own.
For the procedure, I opted for local anesthetic (needle). The total cost without insurance was about $400 (consultation, x-ray, surgery)--much cheaper than my NY oral surgeon which was about $500.
I'm pain-phobic, but I didn't feel that much pain during the insertion of the needle for the anesthetic--just a bit of pressure. Definetly tolerable. The procedure itself went by quickly and I would estimate I was done in about 15 minutes (25-30 max).
Everyone in the office was nice and polite, as well as the dentist so A++ for office and chair-side manners.
I would definetly recommend going to Dr. Woods for wisdom tooth extraction.
