I was prepared to like Dr. Brownstein at once when I met him, and I did. I'd been primed to trust him by the recommendations I'd gotten from a variety of friends and from his website. What I like most about his approach is that he pays attention to the toxicity of the dental materials he uses. He is highly educated and very intelligent and careful. He didn't in fact do any work on my teeth-- just a thorough diagnosis-- because he referred me to an endodontist to confirm his assessment before doing any work. I am currently saving to be able to afford the needed treatments from both-- dentistry is way too expensive for the average pocketbook, especially during this recession, and Dr. Brownstein did not offer any kind of payment plan. Insurance covers only a fraction of the cost and has a cap on the amount per year that still leaves you with humongous bills.
