The best chair-side manner. Dr.Miles gave me a clear outline of how things would go for removal of an impacted, sideways wisdom tooth. ( ex.which novoacine needle would pinch, how long he would be drilling , when the akward cutting sound to free the root was coming). This really helped ease any anxiety I had going in, and kept me relaxed "in the chair".
During the procedure- which was longer than usual at 20 minutes - the doctor displayed a calm, pleasant receptive demeaner. At one point I had to take a brief break- this was greeted by a sympathetic spritz of water to hydrate my dry mouth, and off we were to the finish line. He is cool without being cold. He is quick without making you feel rushed or unimportant.
I was impressed that when I first visited he said the tooth could stay in if I wanted it to. That medically it was not urgent because it looked clean. When I had my stitches out, I asked about an implant for a front tooth. He gave me good information AND then suggested that a bridge would likely give me a better visual result. That he was willing to walk away from a payday twice really impresses me. The staff: low- key, responsive, cordial.
