I started my orthodontic treatment in Illinois. When I moved to Bay area I needed to find an office to finish my treatment. I went for a consultation to a few of the orthodontists in the area and found Dr. Axelrode office the best. It was cheaper than other offices but it wasn't the cost why I chose Dr. Axelrode. The staff is always very warm and friendly and so is Dr. Axelrode. He takes every patient very personally tries to satisfy one's requests as much as he can. He is very skilled and knowledgeable and you can always talk to him if you have concerns. He never rushes you out of the office. The office is a really fun place which is especially attractive to young patients. They change decorations all the time depending on the upcoming holidays etc. At the same time the office is very clean, equipped with modern equipment and supplies. I should say that I am glad that I had to change my orthodontist. Even though I don't have any major complains about my orthodontist in IL my experience with Dr Axelrode is way better. Thanks to Dr Axelrode I could see results much faster and now I am about to get the braces taken off!

Nice guy - it's a family business, and I'm sure that the Drs. know what they are doing, but the staff made many mistakes with scheduling, misspelling my name and address, and dealing with my insurance referral. After my initial consultation, it took over a month of repeated phone calls to get an estimate of costs and treatment options. Finally decided to go elsewhere.

ive been a patient for YEARS. i love dr. mark and alex axelrode! everyone i know in the 510 area has gone to them in the office in pinole =)
