Dr Powers treated me a couple of years ago and the outcome has been a nightmare. I just wish I could turn back the clock. I ended up with damaged bite, popping jaw and other problems. Other Orthodontists did not recommend me to have treatment but Powers, not wanting to refuse a chance to make money, promised me so much and delivered nothing but damage and pain. I would strongly suggest consulting other, more ethical, orthodontists in the area before taking a chance with her, specially if you are an adult patient.

My 8 year old daughter recently completed her phase 1 treatment. The office staff is very professional and courtious, eased all my daughter's fears. They told her to expect some pain and soreness with her braces, but it turned out there was none. They were very good at accomodating our schedule, moving appointments if we needed to. We spent very little time in the waiting room, as they don't seem to overbook appointments. Dr. Powers is a joy to work with, takes the time to answer questions, and see that the job is done right. We were able to finish my daughters treatment in less than a year, and her teeth look beautiful! The difference is astounding to say the least! Reana (in the office) was especially friendly and helpful with juggling our ever changing schedule.

Dr. Power's office is a very child friendly atmosphere. She and her staff are very personable and professional. Although you do get what you pay for, orthodontic treatment there is expensive. Only one issue: I had braces and a retainer, but still had a large gap between molars at the end of the treatment, but I am fairly certain that I'm the exception and not the rule...

Our family is dissatisfied with Dr.Powers. The consult. had a very sales-oriented feel. Most of the consult.appt was with two admin. staffers who gave payment options and told of "ortho bucks" reward program. Dr.Powers joined us to examine our teeth, make recommendations and answer questions - but it was quick. Her support staff gave quotes for our family totalling more than $5K. For that amount of money, we expect more than 15 minutes with the orthodontist. We opted for two less expensive procedures as a trial experience with Dr.Powers. We do not feel like their office was considerate of our time. We returned two separte times to redo impressions that were not done correctly the first time. They rescheduled an appt.(w/o explanation) yet when we told them 2 days ahead of time that we may be late for an appt.(to which they said, "no problem") we arrived to be informed that Dr.Powers went to lunch. (We were 18 minutes late!) Yet, at the next appt. she kept us waiting for 1/2 hour. We were very disappointed in Dr.Powers'(& staff) skills in working with young kids.We asked for full refund(which we got) and severed our relationship with her before getting too involved in treatment.

I finished my treatment with Dr. Powers, with astounding success. She is very professional and explains in detail the course of your treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. Powers to any one in need of an excellent orthodontist. By the way, I am just one of her adult patients. Allison Caplan Alamo, CA

I had doctor powers for a phase of my braces and she actually made my teeth worse, despite my following all her instructions. I was very unsatisfied with my experience there and found her to be insensitive to my pain, poking me and making my gums bleed, but then saying it was my fault for not taking good care of my teeth. She is also very overpriced. I switched orthodontist and had a much higher success rate, My braces came off it no time. Overall I would say avoid Dr. Powers!

Dr. Powers and staff are professional, courteous, and very nice people. Dr. Powers has a great "bedside" manner, and she is highly credentialed. The service is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for in orthodontics, and this Doctor is worth every penny!
