My son was a consult with this doctor in order to determine the need for braces. Dr. Kapit was complacent and did not even attempt to ease the worry of a parent of child who might need. braces. When I asked him if my son should get braces, he replied" Well, I'm an orthodontist, of course he should", but he did not explain positives and negatives or put us at ease. He seemed to care less what we decided to do. Maybe he is ready for retirement. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Experience and knowledgeable. Adjunct professor in the orthodontic dept at Nova Sourheastern University. Kind with kids and extremely informative.

Dr. Kapit is the the most thorough Orthodontist I had visited before I decided to get my braces. He told me what I could expect from the treatment. I was very happy with the out come, but irresponsibly I lost my retainers....Now I will have to go back and look like a bad patient. Dr. Kapit is serious about his work, and doesn't mess around if you aren't doing what he tells you. He can be very funny at times, and puts you at ease. I had my braces for 5years + and I was very happy before I lost my retainer. I admit I went to someone closer the 1st time I lost my top retainer, cause I never picked up my bottom one from Kapit's office and was to embarrassed to go back. Now I have to go back and see if he can fix me again. I never should have gone anywhere else. Live and Learn.

Terrible personality, bedside manner with children! Was the least expensive however, would have paid more to go to personable orthodontist. Also, must pay out financing before he removes braces. If you do not or can't, braces will stay on until you can
