This dentist does not allow parents in the exam room. During my daughter's appointment to be prescribed a sedative for an upcoming tooth extraction, the dentist cut me off repeatedly in my attempts to clarify what to expect and explain my daughter's anxiety. Then she pulled not only the tooth in question, but an additional tooth as well, without consulting me. This involved my daughter screaming in terror and pain, the dentist making threats and saying mean things to her, sitting on her to restrain her and prying her mouth open mechanically. She refused to let my daughter return to me after the procedure until she apologized for her behavior. I was given a release to sign ON MY WAY OUT. My daughter was so traumatized she did not speak all the way home and she had bruises on her back, arm, and mouth. The device that pried her jaw open caused another tooth to become loose. When questioned by my husband, the dentist lied about it.
About Front Desk: The office staff was friendly, accomodating, and reassuring. But I don't think she communicated with the dentist everything we discussed on the phone and in person. They called with offers to work us in when they had a cancellation, etc.
