There is no one better. He rocks! My daughter was so scared about going to the dentist and never thought any dentist would be able to calm her down and take care of her. He works magic and is the consummate professional. No one better!

Very warm and caring and a good overall dentist. Kind in explaining procedures and kids feel very comfortable in his office

I went to Turek as a child. I hated going to the dentist. My 3 kids now go and they love the dentist... Go figure! Staff is great, office is great for kids, and the kids get to pick out prizes when finished. My little girl has had more dental work done then any kid i know and she LOVES the dentist. YIKES! I drive 40min from Huntley to bring my kids. Turek and staff are quality!

Dr. Turek does top-class work, is great with kids, and I am glad he is still practicing. His staff are friendly, efficient and very gentle about missed appointments. He was my childhood dentist and I receive favorable comments about his work (which I unfortunately needed too much of as a teenager).

My kids really like to go to Dr Turek. They are 3 & 6 and very shy but when they go to his office, they march right in like it is no big deal. We have had a couple of cavities, a broken front tooth, sealants, and regular checkups. All have been great.

Do not take your kids to this dentis! I wondered why the first couple of appointments I wasn't allowed back with my kids. And when my 5 year old came out each time traumatized. I decided to check it out. So the next time I snuck a look around the corner. Dr. Turek was screaming at my daughter and then he SHOOK her!! I immediatly ran in and grabbed her out of the chair. I never took her back there!

If your child is young or the least bit apprehensive, do not bring them to Dr. Turek. My 4 yr old daughter is tentative with most everything & had recently had her first trip to see my dentist & was great & cooperative for the whole thing, but xrays were tough to get, so they sent us to Dr. Turek, since he's a specialist with children. As soon as we walked in the room, he told her to get in the chair, then when she hesitated (scared), he told me to put her in the chair. It proceeded to them picking her up, forcing her in the chair, holding her down (she's crying the whole time) and then sending me out. I didn't even make it to the waiting room when he started yelling at her & I turned around & came back in and took her out.
This is not the way to start a lifetime of good dental health, being terrorized on your second visit. Just a little patience or effort would have gone a long way. I suspect he's good with older children who know the drill or aren't nervous, but if your child is the least bit scared or on the younger side, I wouldn't bring them to him. I have seen great reviews of his colleague though.
