License REVOKED. Based on the findings of an extensive investigation, The Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners has revoked Dr. Alalouf's license. This is not a case of jealousy or witch-hunting. I wish it were. Sadly, and scarily, this is a case of a guy with a great bedside manner and a great office, who is also an unethical con-artist. Dr. Alalouf was found to be drilling "cavities" that didn't exist, in patient after patient, and giving general anesthesia to children who didn't need it. He was also found guilty of insurance fraud. This was an investigation conducted by neutral authorities, that cost them lots of time and money that they would rather have not spent. Sad case.

Dr Alalouf told me that my 3 year old had multiple cavities, and needed to be admitted to the hospital and put under general anastethia to fix the cavities. He told me that if I waited too long, my son would need a root canal. I set up the surgery, and Dr Alalouf wanted the $800.00 up front 1 week before the surgery. The week of surgery his office called me every night to make sure I was going to pay. I paid for the surgery, and took my son to the pediatrician for his pre-op check-up. The pediatrician suggested I get a second opinion. I did, and found out that my son has the beginnings of 1 small cavity. I almost put my son in the hospital for nothing.

Great support staff, took the time to discuss my child's problems, and had a very friendly and relaxing manner when talking with my child.

The office is great. Prices are not so cheap. Great dentist for kids.

We started seeing Dr. Alalouf because of a dental emergency. Dr. Alalouf, his staff and his amazing office provided an environment which makes my kids love going to the dentist. In our emergency he not only calmed my daughter but eased my fears as well. His office is completely geared toward kids. It was actually hard to get my kids to leave, which in the end makes it easier to get them to return.
