Instead of local anesthesia, I was sedated with an overdosage of Triazolam (0.75 mg). Against all dental guidelines, Dr. Carrigan released me right away after the surgery without any recovery period, even though he knew I am on blood thinning therapy for many years. It took three people to carry me to my car. I was completely unconscious for more than ten hours after the surgery, putting my life at risk. He did not call my family or me at all to check on my condition after he released me. On the follow up appointment, I requested a response to several issues. What I needed was an apology for his neglect. He screamed and shouted at me. He suggested that I go to another dentist to complete my implant procedure, which I did. Dr. Carrigan only did the first phase, implanting the titanium bases into my gums, none of the subsequent procedures were performed in his office. He still insists that I pay the whole bill. I offered many times to settle the issue peacefully but he refused and turned my bill over to a collection agency in Jan .this year. My family and I are so upset and disappointed by Dr. Corrigan’s treatment experience. The mental stress and anguish have bothered me the entire past year. The reason I rated this u

Dr. Carrigan is the endodontist you want to see. I live in Los Altos Hills, and I am willing to drive to his office. You should too. There are many good dentists, Dr. Carrigan is a great dentist. Do yourself and your family a favor, see for yourself. Low stress, low pain, high end results!!

I am facing a horrible problem of loosing a healthy tooth from Dr. Carrigan's activities. He distroied my tooth i order to provide a job for his partner Dr. Glass (Dentist) by resurfacing my healthy tooth to the point I will need a feeling. Earlier I have had two surgeries (by Carrigan) on my gum recession on the front tooth. I've been told that this problem is very serious and my healthy tooth may be lost because of the gum recession and I need the immediate surgery. My surgery needed to over 4 teeth, and the difference of the surgery after my insurance payment was much more expensive then I can afford, so I decided to fix two teeth and do another surgery next year. Dr. Carrigan have to fix the gum recession only, instead he drill a hole in my healthy tooth in order to provide his friend with job. Why did he created a hole in my front tooth and feel it with a temporary feeling? I need to ask him personally about this, and to remind him about the Hippocrates promise that every doctor needs to keep in mind: to not cause any problems by your intruder's behavior.

Dr. Carrigan is terrific --very skilled and personable. The back office staff is terrible - not friendly and sometimes rude. If you just work with him --totally worth it. I wouldn't recommend the office for general cleanings though --because the back office staff handles it.

I've seen Dr. Carrigan since 1991, when I was diagnosed with severe gum disease. He treated me surgically at that time, and I haven't had any perio problems since. The operation wasn't fully covered by my (bad) dental insurance, so his office manager worked out a reasonable installment payment plan. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. WARNING: Good dentists are easy to find, but good periodontists are rare. Great doctor, wonderful staff, I've found them very easy to work with. I recommend him and his office very highly.
