horrible, horrible, horrible,,,,hes lazy and makes his staff do most of the work while he sits in his office. left me suffering an entire weekend after doing procedures w/o using antibiotics first to heal inflammation...couldn't resolve pain medication at wallmart till monday. bridge fell out 4 times,,,now again 6 months later. unsympathetic, and does job in a hurry...doesnt explain what procedures exactly was done to his staff , so have a lost in translation problem that ends up with negative results and dangerous.

About Front Desk: horrible,Gwendolyn is very rude and unsympathetic...only interested in billing...vindictive with a smile on her face.

Hygiene time: 30

My Experience: Bridge

Duration: 4 hours

He did a great job with my implant 6 years ago , it is very successful and the price was very reasonable . He also did some fillings for me and my husband . Also, he did a tooth extraction for my husband. All his work was very good and he is so professional and experienced , I feel very comfortable when he does the treatment for me. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Lack customer service skills. Refuse to work with the situation at hand. Would never recommend him to anyone I know.

About Front Desk: Incompetent staff that does not know what the heck she is doing! Had to call insurance myself to verify in the end. Made patient waited over an hour during appt time to be told could not be seen by dentist and needed to rescheduled b/c staff took too long to verify insurance. Was told I only have a thirty minute time frame before he move to next patient. Very unprofessional place with no flexibility. The dentist doesn't care nor respect his client.

I go to Dr. Chan for routine teeth cleaning and crowns. The treatments are successful with no problems. The pain is minimal to none and the cost is very reasonable. His bedside manners are great and very funny so he knows how to prevent the patients from stressing out. He is great with kids when they come in for their first time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Chan to anyone I know and I have already referred my friends to him. He even did Invisalign for my friend and I and we both love it!

Nice dentist, good chair-side manner, old facility but equipment is in good order. If you ask questions he explains everything thoroughly, but if you don't you get the minimal explanation. Did a root canal (relatively painless), and porcelain crown on a molar. The crown fit nd looked good, but fell out after about 15 months. Support staff is friendly and helpful, but very slow on billing co-payment, at least in my case. My crown was completed in January, but I didn't get the final bill until November. Paid it and my crown fell out 5 months later. I would recommend this dentist if you live in the immediate area, he's been at his location a long time and has many long term patients who seem to appreciate his work.

It is my opinion, that Dr. Chan may be a competent dentist that I am not sure, but his office staff is completely incompetent. The office staff of Latinas are incapable of getting insurance approval in a timely manner, and theyre incapable of positive customer service. My experience with Tina has been very challenging. As the alleged office manager, she always seemed scattered and unable to answer simple questions about my dental program. I had been a patient of Dr. Chan for over a year and in that time Tina was scattered, and unprofessional. Early in 2006 I wrote Dr. Chan a letter with my specific instruction for my desired dental program. I knew I had to write it down for Tina and the other staff, because they may have had to have it translated into simple English, perhaps third grade English. As a professional myself who manages employees, my staff are the marketers of my region and can best communicate the professionalism of our department. Dr. Chans staffs incompetent behavior leads me to believe that Dr. Chan is not a professional nor is he competent. I would not recommend Dr. Chan to anyone largely due to his lazy incompetent staff.
