I had several crowns and a bridge done by Dr. Warpeha. They try to make it seem like they are so up on everything in the office, but I'm not so sure from what I hear from others. Dr. Warpeha's bedside manner is not that great, and his breath is atrocious. He smells like he has dentures himself. I don't like the front desk lady, who I think is Dr. Warpeha's daughter. She is a real control freak and treats the rest of the staff like sh-t. That makes the atmosphere very tense. I don't got there anymore because another dentist said he would have done things a different way, which would have cost a lot less.

About Hygienist: I have had nice hygienists in the office. Some are rougher than others. There always seems to be a lot of tension between the dentist and the hygienist and the lady at the front desk who I think is Dr. Warpeha's daughter. Never a good situation when family work together in the office. Just causes stress for everyone else, and I can sense it. Others have mentioned it too.

Dr. Warpeha was pleasant and answered my questions, but he killed one of my teeth trying to remove a bridge. He used various methods, each one not loosening the bridge. The banging instrument actually killed the tooth. He uses it to bang perpendicular to the tooth, not in a downward motion like I would have expected. The banging was very hard, to the point you are sure the tooth will snap. It held up and I insisted on just cracking the bridge to get it off. The tooth apparently died at that point and 2 months later succumbed to a soft shell taco.

About Hygienist: Specialist offices are less warm and accommodating and thoughtful than your regular dentist. They only see you once or twice. So expect a little less of the Minnesota nice.

Dr. Warphea is my hero. He replaced 14 teeth including upper and lower teeth. The implants are perfect, his estimate of time and cost were exactly correct. He was always on time, never late and never working on more than 1 person at a time. He will always have my highest regards and be my first choice for dental care.
