I had several fillings placed by Dr. Mai and had to be redone by another dentist because of poor technique. It was very painful and expensive. My teeth cleaning lasted about ten minutes. Review your insurance bill carefully.

I had two cavities replaced at a wopping $175 a piece after insurance. Pain wasn't too bad. My biggest gripe is that the silver filling wasn't completely taken out before the resin was introduced on one of the my teeth. On top of that there is still a slight hole and minor pain. I'm planning to get a second opinion ASAP. I thought the high cost would mean better work, but I guess not. I felt like she was distracted by other things going on in the office rather than working on my teeth.

Don't take a child here. Didn't seal teeth properly; couldn't answer simple questions as to why, couldn't do xrays on child. Despite making appt with Dr. Mai, I had to see another dentist both times.

Both my husband and I went to her. She does very shoddy work. She filled cavities but left part of the hole exposed. Her crowns had to be replaced. We have had to go to another dentist to fix the original work done by her. Her billing is slipshod. Your account is never right. You constantly need to monitor how much you are supposed to pay and what they actually receive. if you get a cleaning - they force a flouride treatment on you that is not covered by anyone and then charge you for it without asking you if you want it.

I would never return to this dentist ever again. She is distracted, always chatting with her assistants and overbooking appointments. She is horrible with Novacaine, missing the nerves often and leading to some considerable discomfort during all of her procedures. She is so incompetent that she was unable to properly numb my mother during a TOOTH EXTRACTION and thus led to some very serious pain. For my part, nearly every single procedure she has done has had to be redone by my new, competent dentist. She didn't clean out two cavities very well and thus caused me to get two root canals now, I will have to have three crowns done, and replace a filling she couldn't even glue in properly. I have had infections and have spent over $7,000 in fixing what she was too incompetent to do herself.

She performed a root canal which was incomplete. I had gone to have the crowns put on by my other out of state dentist only to be sent to an Endodontist who told me the work was poorly done and incomplete. The areas she filled never stayed in. It has cost me additonal temporary fillings and treatment by an endodontist. At least I was smart not to have her do my crowns. She refused to give me a refund. DO NOT go to her. She does poor quality work. I was lucky to have had a short time before my insurance renewed. But I am still out of pocket for the difference which was close to $600.00.

Very mixed results. My first appt last April was very pleasant, with Dr. Cristelle Rodriquez-Singh. The staff were polite and all went well. However, I went back recently, and drew "Angelina" instead. She and the front office staff were rude to the point of being insulting. I was berated (yes, berated) for not scheduling a 6-month appointment and for not flossing recently. I pointed out that this was because I'd had several periodontic procedures done at that time which precluded my coming back. The response was more insulting behavior. This is unacceptable customer service and I will never go back. I loved Cristelle, but this Angelina person and the front office staff are a disgrace.

Dr. Mai's facilities are very nice and current and she seems very friendly. However, that is where the good experience ends. I noticed her trying to convince a nearby patient to get all of her fillings replaced. She then did the same thing to me (which a subsequent dentist told me was not necessary.) She ALSO did the same thing to THREE of my friends.

Dr. Mai is very competent, current on the latest techniques. She is willing to take the time to explain what is going on with your dental work. i have referred several friends to her practice.
