I moved to Boston a few years ago and had been in search of a great dentist near my neighborhood. Someone recommended Darl Moss so I went for it.
Facilities: Amazing clean & open space in a beautiful part of Brookline MA with state of the art technology. They actually have different art showcased in the office throughout the year.
People: The staff is extremely friendly with great customer service, short wait times, & make your experience pain free and relaxed. They are flexible and understanding of your schedule.
Treatment: I had not been to the dentist in years, and therefore required some extra care (deep scale cleaning) to get my teeth back in good health. The treatment I got helped get my teeth back to where they should be and it was apparent the dentist truly cared for my health and did only the work that was actually needed to get my teeth back in good health. They also coached me on proper cleaning/flossing. I also had an implant from a previous dentist come loose and Dr. Moss got me in immediately for an examination and was able to re-cement and fix my veneer.
Overall I would recommend Dr. Darell Moss to anyone in the Boston area.
About Hygienist: Dr Moss is caring & gentle, but thorough, making sure you are as healthy as possible. He treats what needs to be treated and does not try to do expensive work that is not needed.

Dr. Moss is a highly skilled, friendly, and very talented family dentist. We have been brining our family to him and his talented staff for 17 years now, and everything he has done has met our satisfaction fully. Our family includes a physician and a psychologist, as well as two adolescents and a pre-adolescent--- in other words, we are fussy and critical about our health care. And Darel Moss has been superb on all counts. He also hires great people, so his hygienists and ancillary staff are also skilled and personable. It is a fairly friendly and informal environment, but the work is always at the highest level. There are lots of dentists around, and a bunch that charge less than Dr. Moss-- but as professionals ourselves, we know that you often get what you paid for. Dr. Moss's fees are reasonable given the level and quality of treatment. We all feel lucky to have found him.

I was astonished to see some of the reviews on this site about Dr. Moss. He is friendly, understanding, and honest. He is determined to satisfy your every need. The staff is helpful and i have never had a problem in the office. Scheduling appointments is easy and i feel like I am treated like one of just a few patients when i am there. Even when i go in for cleanings, Dr. Moss spends time with me in the chair and asks questions and tries to help. Overall, he is a great dentist and many of the negative reviews on this site should not be taken seriously, as they are far from the truth. If you are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Moss. Also, there is another page on this site for Dr. Moss, as his name is spelled incorrectly here.
About Hygienist: All of the hygienists are great. They all have experience and skill. Compared to other dental offices that I have been in, Dr. Moss' hygienists seem to understand more about dentistry and are more able to help with any problems.

Overall he is a good Doctor and looks out for you. I travel 40 minutes to see him. He does not work on Friday's, it is hard to get an appointment with him. You will get bumped, even if you are on time and next in line to see him. A simple routine could take an hour.

For the four years I have been going to Dr. Moss I have been extremely satisfied with my treatment . Dr. Moss is kind and compassionate and has a gentle approach.
I think the staff members are very helpful and knowledgeable with all billing and insurance questions. There are also part time doctors available for emergency visits even on Saturday and Sundays.
I always recommend this office to all my friends and family.
About Hygienist: I have had cleanings with both Linda and Susan, they are great and do such a thorough job I look forward to going.

Consistently unpleasant and incompetent office staff since practice changed hands. Had problems with double billing and overbilling.
About Hygienist: Hygienist has always been efficient, thorough and pleasant. Susan Foynes is the only reason I have kept going to this practice.

I have been seeing Darrel for over 15 years now, I also have been seeing his Hygenist, Linda since I pretty much had teeth. I fully recommend both of them. Both are VERY personable and capable dentists.

Dr. Moss has been my dentist for 12 years and I have recommended him to many friends who have found his work as excellent as I have. He is very sensitive to issues about pain and does all he can to avoid patient discomfort. He is also committed to preventive dental care and is supported in this by well-trained, competent hygienists. His work is expert, from fillings to crowns, and he responds quickly to emergencies.
The front desk is helpful with insurance matters. The offices are not luxurious yet they are clean, with up-to-date technology.
