Got talked into LANAP laser gum surgery to attempt to save some upper teeth that Dr. Waddell told me he thought were viable; also wisdom tooth extraction that left me numb for 3 months--this got blamed on me needing "lots of novacaine" when in reality it was probably the wisdom tooth extraction. I would have been more understanding if he had been honest with me. Get a second opinion on LANAP; I have been told by three other dentists that these teeth were, in fact, NOT salvagable and I wasted $3000 of my own money on the LANAP for teeth that it wouldn't have helped. I also got very poor instruction on aftercare for the LANAP. I have since been advised by a periodontist that I will need six more extractions due to poor viability based on my original XRays prior to the LANAP! Very poor accommodation for tooth sensitivity; I also had an inordinate amount of swelling and bleeding into surrounding tissue after my extractions which, again, got blamed on other factors. Even the partial that I have for two lower teeth extractions doesn't fit well. If you have periodontal issues, see a periodontist. The office staff is nice, though, and very helpful. I would steer clear of Dr. Waddell.

Dr. Ken Waddell was very pleasant, seemed very concerned that I receive treatment for the issues I brought to him. He also recommended "occlusal adjustment", which sounded like a long-term treatment to bring my bite into correct allignment - something that, at age 54, I didn't know I had a problem with. I needed a deep cleaning (no surprise) and was shifted to the hygenist who gave me nitrous and proceeded to give me THE MOST PAINFUL anesthetic shots I've ever experienced! Long story short on the "occlusal adjustment" was that it took less than 10 minutes and it cost $1100.00! I called and asked how that cold be and they said that it covered "any future adjustment - even though more may not be required." I've since found a new dentist.

Dr. Waddell advertises heavily on local radio as the "Sleep Dentist." He did a decent job on two lower front crowns, but I was stoned for about 2 days afterward and had a LOT of pain!
