I went a year ago to Dr. Wolfson's office and wouldn't have written a review until I heard another story from a friend who went to him also. While I was there, the hygenist immediately started complaining about how he made them work very long hours. It showed. She was horrible. The worst teeth cleaning I have every received. I thought I was going to choke since she didn't know how to use the suction tube she placed under my bottom lip and didn't seem to care. Taking x-rays was just as painful. Once Dr. Wolfson came in, he immediately told me I was grinding my teeth at night and wanted to sell me a guard to wear. He asked if I had tooth pain in the morning and didn't even wait for me to say "No". To top it all off, I went to him because he is in my Preferred Dentist list, but he charged me for the regular costs, not the network rates. Horrible. As a side note, my friend went to him and was told he had 11 cavaties!!! His second opinion found only 1. Go figure.

I went to him for a root canal. The first visit I waited 2 hrs before he told me to go home because the computers weren't working and he couldn't do it. The second visit I waited about 11/2 hrs. He started, he said he couldn't see very well (blood in my tooth or something), sent me home. Third time I went I was writhing in pain, crying. He does not use gas at all. I was in AGONY for over an hour, and he just stopped and said that he was sending me to a specialist because he didn't know what was wrong, or why I was in pain. That was 3 visits, with no results. He rushed me out of the office every time, not explaining to me at all what he had done. I tried to ask the third time, so I could at least tell the new doctor what he had done. The receptionist said she'd fax over my information to the new dentist. In the meantime, I made an appoinment with the new dentist. Three days later, I called and asked if she'd received my chart from Dr. Wolfson-she hadn't. I called Dr. Wolfson's office and the receptionist told me that I had to request, in writing, for my information to be sent. She did not tell me that when I was in his office! Plus, every time I was in Dr. Wolfson's office, there was at least one fight between the staff.

Horrible! He doesn't care about the patient. His main concern is the money and how many people he can get to sign up for Invisalign. He was willing to deceive my insurance company and take my entire deductible for invisalign, devoid of the other services I needed done on my teeth. He was like an invisalign pusher. I didn't even have x-rays done before he started suggesting invisalign! After I had x-rays done, I decided that I didn't want to have any further work performed by Dr. Wolfson, so I told him to let me consult my calendar and then I'd make another appointment. The next day, I received 2 calls from his office stating that I needed to make an appointment. They proceeded to call, as though I owed them money, trying to get an appointment out of me. To top things off, he charged someone elses insurance for the x-rays I had done. When I called him to correct the situation, he became defensive and said, "well, this could've been corrected with a simple phone call". I was taken aback, because that's what I was calling about... I don't recommend him at all. Go at your own risk.
